True Street




RUN FORMAT:
All-run, no limit on car count.

RUN PROCEDURE:

Blue Light active, courtesy stage. This means pre-staging and staging by one car is NOT allowed unless it is on a bye run. The allowed procedure is both competitors pre-stage, then one stages and the other stages within seven seconds. Failure to stage within the time limit results in automatic red light for the delaying party.



BYE RUNS:
All competitors must take the tree and complete a full pass under their own power on a bye run.

CLASS GUIDELINES

In General:

True Street: 1/4 mile
Entry fee $50 Payout: Trophies/Plaques so far, payout possible with a sponsor.
Open to any street legal vehicle.

All competitors must complete a 15 mile street drive to be eligible. Other then that, anything goes. After the drive, all competitors report to an "impound area" for a 30-60 minute cool down period. No tuning allowed. You can't even open the hood. Tire pressure only. Then, three back to back passes. Passes are averaged to give an overall quickest and fastest. Also, awards will be given for quickest average per second. Meaning the fastest 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13 second racers will also be recognised. It's not just the quickest/fastest ones.


Cheating and Penalties for cheating:

Cheating will result in mandatory expulsion from event, loss of any points earned at event and forfeiture of any winnings. Mandatory one race suspension with a $500 reinstatement fee. Any competitor protesting another must post a $100 protest fee that is non-refundable.


Contingency:
Only registered USP-Racing members are eligible for contingency benefits.

Year End Points Standings:

2009 racers will be able to run their earned class numbers. Example: Kirbie Stirewalt-T/S-1. 2010 racers will only be eligible for the points race if they are a registered USP-Racing member.



Decision making during race day:
Will be final and based solely on discretion of the race director.
