Ultimate Street Presented by:

Ultimate Street is a heads up class for all types of vehicles. Rear suspension may utilize ladder bar or four links (No full tube chassis). Legal combinations include the use of nitrous oxide, supercharger, turbo charger or normal aspiration at different weight breaks for parity. All entries compete on a 31 x 10.5W ET Drag or smaller tire.



LADDER:
Pro Ladder based on qualifying order (1 vs.16, 2 vs.15, etc.)

RUN FORMAT:
All-run, no limit on car count.

STAGING PROCEDURE:

Blue Light active, courtesy stage. This means pre-staging and staging by one car is NOT allowed unless it is on a bye run. The allowed procedure is both competitors pre-stage, then one stages and the other stages within seven seconds. Failure to stage within the time limit results in automatic red light for the delaying party.



BYE RUNS:
All competitors must take the tree and complete a full pass under their own power on a bye run.

SCALE POLICY:

All USP Racers will scale after every pass. Failure to scale during qualifying means the run will not count. Failure to scale during eliminations will result in disqualification and reinstatement of the losing competitor, providing they also scale and make minimum weight.



CLASS GUIDELINES:

BALLAST:

Permanently attached ballast may be added in a NHRA legal manner. Removable ballast for the purpose of classification adjustments is limited to 100 lbs. in a NHRA weight box.


LETTERING / DECALS:
Car lettering limited to windows only. Front lower right windshield must be cleared for class sponsor.

FIREWALL:
Must retain original factory location, and be constructed out of sheet metal. Notching of factory firewall for valve cover clearance is allowed.

INTERIOR:
Dash board must be stock appearing and in stock location. Door panels must be covered. Carpet, upholstery or paint is required to cover the floor and tunnel where visible.

CHASSIS / SUSPENSION
FRONT SUBFRAME:

No full tube chassis permitted. All sub-framed or full framed cars must retain complete stock front sub-frame from firewall forward. Frame connectors or rear frame rails may not pass engine firewall. Stock or direct fit aftermarket K-members are permitted, but must bolt into stock location using factory bolt holes.



FRONT SUSPENSION:

All cars must retain stock front suspension, aftermarket tubular control arms, coil over kits, or OEM front strut retrofits are permitted. But must be a direct bolt on, no welding modifications permitted. Aftermarket racing struts with spindle mounts or hub mounts designed for tube type front ends are prohibited.



DRIVE TRAIN:

AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:

Automatic transmissions originally produced by any American automobile manufacturer are permitted. Transmission-to-engine adapters are permitted.



MANUAL TRANSMISSION:

Aftermarket transmissions are allowed, but are very limited. Liberty, G-Force and Lenco types are NOT permitted. All shifts must be made manually without the aid of electronic, hydraulic, or pneumatic devices. Also clutch operation must be manual.



ENGINE:


BLOCK:
Aftermarket iron or aluminum blocks are permitted. No Keith Black or TFS or similar solid blocks are allowed.

ENGINE LOCATION:
The maximum allowable engine setback from the number one spark-plug hole to the centerline of the front spindle is 2 inches.

CYLINDER HEADS:
Restricted to one spark plug per cylinder max, two valves per cylinder. No billet heads allowed.

NITROUS:

FOUR (4) nitrous solenoids Max & FOUR (4) gas solenoids Max for a total of EIGHT (8) solenoids. Competitors may use solenoids in any manner. Purge systems are allowed, but must exit outside engine compartment away from hood scoop and cowl area. Nitrous is NOT allowed to be used in conjunction with any turbo or supercharger.



SUPERCHARGER:

Single roots or centrifugal superchargers permitted (see weight guide). Supercharger restraint system meeting NHRA safety standards mandatory on Roots type (14-71 max) units. Nitrous is NOT allowed to be used in conjunction with any supercharged application.



TURBOCHARGER:

Single turbo charger up to 91mm max or twin turbochargers up to 70mm max. No injection of any liquid, gas, or any other substance into the turbocharger inlet or outlet. See weight guide for specifics. Nitrous is NOT allowed to be used in conjunction with any turbo application.



EXHAUST:
Commercially available mufflers or collector mufflers are required. No collector inserts permitted. Modification of muffler internals prohibited.

FUEL / FUEL SYSTEM:
Gasoline & Alcohol only (NO NITRO). USP reserves the right to check fuel at any time during competition.

OILING SYSTEM:
Any wet system is permitted. DRY SUMPS ARE PROHIBITED. Vacuum pumps are allowed.

STEERING:
Aftermarket rack and pinion is allowed.

STREET LEGAL REQUIREMENTS:
All entries are required to have two working headlights and two working tail lights. Brake light and turn signals not required.

TIRES:

Front tires must have minimum tread width of 4.5 inches. Front tires do not have to be DOT approved. Rear tire max size is 31 x 10.5W. Smaller width and height tires are allowed and do not have to be DOT approved. Examples of acceptable tires are 31 x 10.5W x 15, 29.5 x 11.5 x 15, 29.5 x 10.5W x 15, 28 x 11.50 x 15, 28 x 10.5W x 15 Mickey Thompson ET Drags and 31 x 14.50 x 15, 30 x 13.50 x 15, 28 x 13.50 x 15 M/T ET Streets. The tread of the tires must not protrude outside the body line at the top of the tire.

ADD WEIGHT SECTION:
100 lbs for use of dual carbs or throttle bodies (Big Blocks Only)

75 lbs for Big Blocks with +/- 2-degrees valve angle from stock.
150 lbs for Big Blocks that use Big Chief, Pontiac, Olds, Big Dukes, or any other symmetrical and non conventional cylinder heads.

DEDUCT WEIGHT SECTION:
50lbs for Pre-1960 Body
100lbs for stock suspension as defined in USP Limited Street Rules.

CHEATING AND PENALTIES FOR CHEATING:

Cheating will result in mandatory expulsion from event, loss of any points earned at event and forfeiture of any winnings. Mandatory one race suspension with a $500 reinstatement fee. Any competitor protesting another must post a $100 protest fee that is non-refundable.



CONTINGENCY:
Only registered USP-Racing members are eligible for contingency benefits.

YEAR END POINTS STANDINGS:

2007 racers will be able to run their earned class numbers. Example: Mike Sasina U/S-1. 2008 racers will only be eligible for the points race if they are a registered USP-Racing member.



DECISION MAKING DURING RACE DAY:
Will be final and based solely on discretion of the race director.
